Democrats are Lying Liars who lie (and lie about it)
So, I am reading the Wall St. Journal, and I read a pap-filled foolish article by former deputy Treasury Sec. Roger Altman about the need to raise taxes. The article is seemingly intelligent at first, until you really think about it. The end of it is the clincher:
… because it is no longer a matter of whether tax revenues must increase, but how.
I know what you’re thinking, well, that’s not really a complete lie. Except it is. It is the fundamental lie that demcrats keep spewing. If you accept this moronic premise, then the entire argument is lost.
There are two parts to the equation. And tax revenues are already ridiculously high. We are already stealing trillions of dollars a year to run this bloated behemoth of government. The correct answer is not to raise tax revenues, as the democrats constantly whinily lie. The correct answer is to cut spending.
For God’s sake would someone explain to them that all their stupid programs are the problem, not the solution?
So what you’re saying is, “It’s the spending, stupid“?
Precisely! Exactly. That’s it. That’s what I’m saying. That. And only that. Just that. Nothing more. Nothing less. Just that.
What really and truly infuriates the hell out of me is that they spend all the taxpayer money on government programs. And then they have the gall to say, we’ll just raise taxes. Well, where the hell do you think the people are going to get that money moron?
I love this part of the story.”This explains why the president is stressing the importance of a deficit-neutral bill. In other words, that any new spending be fully offset by a combination of Medicare and Medicaid cuts and new tax revenues.”
Why bother “creating” a program to help with health care if you’re promptly going to gut medicare and medicaid? What’s the friggin point then?
Did I mention the part where it pisses me off that they waste my money and then claim the only way to fix their eff ups is to take more of my money?
Anyway, if they dare introduce a VAT, why shouldn’t I just go and live in Europe? I mean, if I’m going to be forced to give half my money to the bastards in washington, I could do that in Prague or Paris or Kracow? At least I could get some beautiful buildings and learn new languages. And I’m serious. If the republicans go along with a friggin VAT, why should I stay here? Oh yeah, besides being my country and all that. If they’ve wrecked it beyond belief, why stay?
And that’s the saddest thing of all. That people will actually start to ask that question. Why stay?
