How Close is World War III?
There have to be at least a half-dozen hot spots, where the results of a flair up have global implications. At what point do all these dots become connected, and all hell break loose?
It seems to me that the build ups to both world war I and II were similar. Not only in the depth and breadth of discontent, but also the dearth of leadership, and the denial spewing forth from the most respected folks in the world. No one, particularly those in charge, wants to believe that messes of this proportion could be taking place on their watch.
So, looking at North & South Korea, Venezuala & Columbia, the presidency situation in Honduras, the admission that gold is becoming exponentially more difficult to mine, the upcoming non-democratically selected EU presidency, the Fort Hood Massacre, the Obama administration’s inability to make a decision.. seeming of any sort, the weakening of the US Dollar, the weakening of the US Economy with debacles in both health care in cap&tax, the instability of the US Housing Market, the Weakness of US Banks, the volatility of the stock market, the continued weakening of support for the US as a world leader, the saber rattling of the Russians over US relationship in eastern Europe, and the middle east, the continued belligerence of the Chinese… and the list goes on and on… at what point should we be afraid?
At what point do some dangerous number of US Troops quit due to the lack of proper respect from the administration? When do Generals start quitting? When do the first wave of major US Corps leave the US for better economic environment? When does the emigration number start to be a concern? What happens when thousands perhaps millions of Americans are incarcerated for lack of healthcare – not because they can’t have it, but because they are acting out in civil disobedience? If the US starts heading to civil war, at what point do other nations explode in violence and civil war?
It just seems to me th at there is a lot going on, none of it good, and most of it due to a complete lack of understanding of the nature of freedom.
Damn it all, why did we have to elect a tyrant?
Odd Truth About War
It is an odd thing, that the wars America has fought have given her such peace and stability that many of her citizens can spit upon her.
I hear those angry unctuous many who say there is never a cause for war – nothing is worth preserving if the price is war – they believe fervently in peace. Which is interesting to me, because so do soldiers.
These people though, they do not seem to understand that there are worse alternatives than war. Living under a tyrant. Giving up freedoms for security. Giving up dreams and hopes and aspirations do and be and want more.
I watch them, covered in the blood of the soldiers who laid down their lives to preserve these freedoms, feigning gratitude whilst spitting upon the very ideals and notions which give them the place and time and ability to to spew their naive little ideas on the nature of peace.
Let’s call the NKorean missile “Ferdinand”
I’ve been thinking about the reprecussions of the upcoming North Korean missile launch, and I keep getting that mindsplinter concerning Russia. Obviously China’s reaction is of great concern, and the fact that Japan is feeling very threatened – and who can argue that it wouldnt’ be a wonderful time for China to take Taiwan – because I suspect we’ll have a lot of other things on our mind at that moment.
But what about Russia? They just recently performed some very aggressive moves, first when Obama visited Canada last month , and since with it’s other flybys which have Canada getting rather upset.
Now, I realize this isn’t exactly shocking news either, but I noticed the new slightly more detailed announcement by Russia of the new Artic forces. Then there was Canda’s reaction.
It might seem unrelated, but what happens if that North Korean launch precipitates chaos? China and Russia would be foolish not to take advantage of the distraction. And they’re not foolish. We’re swamped right now what are we going to do if China deals with some of the pesky little pains in the butt that make nations like America scream “Human Rights Abuse?”
And then, once we’re doing it, whether it’s pouting, screaming, or rattling a saber – I can’t imagine Russia isn’t going to do something snotty and agressive. It’s not about being pessistic – the world looks more and more like an interwoven fuse on a giant powder keg of existential angst.
Maybe it’s not the Arctic that I should be thinking about, Cuba and Venezuala are certainly big issues right now too. That was March 14th, I believe – not exactly ancient news reports.
Archduke Ferdinand wasn’t exactly a household name when a single bullet precipitated a big giant mess. I’m wondering if this stupid missile isn’t the new Archduke.
Slave Quietly Rants: My Shackles, they hurt so much!
I am not going to blow in a dozen links into this little diatribe right now, maybe later.
The thing that’s on my mind, I think is more general today. It’s a mind-splinter. The Obamanation Mindsplinter – that niggling nasty relentless splinter that I can’t put my tweezers on to pull it out. It’s a series of questions, and all of the answers are bad, if there really even are any answers.
Why anyone buying any stock whatsoever? Obama is in the process of nationalizing vast chunks of our economy. Healthcare, Banks, Higher Education to name a few. What investor in their right mind wants to buy any of that? Or anything for that matter. If it starts, where will it end? What happens if all of the healthcare providers go away? What happens if being a doctor becomes even LESS profitable? What happens if higher education takes the bait of federal money and becomes like the public schools?
What happens if China calls in our debt? What happens if Israel bombs Iran? What happens if Russia takes Georgia? What happens if Russia takes Afghanistan? What happens if India and Pakistan go to war? What happens if North Korea shoots off those bloody missiles, and we shoot and miss..
…
If we shoot.. and hit…
If Japan shoots
and hits
or misses
… or if we dont shoot at all?
What happens now that inflation is a likelihood with $1Trillion Dollars cash injected into the system?
What happens if OPEC raises the price of gas back up, and we’re paying $4/gallon again?
What happens if a major country goes bankrupt.. like England? Did anyone notice that news yesterday? things aren’t exactly rosy there either.
What happens if no one wants to buy any more of our debt?
What happens if Mexico falls to the drug cartels?
What are we going to do as Russia puts missiles in cuba?
Now that Russia announced the creation of an arctic army… what are we going to do in alaska.. what will canada do? What are we going to do if China pushes us out of the international waters around them? What if China takes Taiwan?
These aren’t just.. “What if’s?”
They’re not. All of these things are slowly happening, and we’re watching. We see it developing. How many of these can we stop? I don’t think all of them. And any of them could trigger a world war of massive proportions. Maybe it won’t be with guns and bombs, but trade war would be just as devastating – maybe more. Sapping our economy and our ability to create the war machine we might later need to defend ourselves.
So, why is anyone buying any stock? The market is a complete crapshoot. There is no stability whatsoever. The plan of the treasury is the biggest most expensive crock of cowdung ever presented as serious policy in the history of the world, and Wall St was relieved to have ANY plan? What the heck is that all about? How many morons can you fit on one street?
Why is corporate America bending over for the Obamanation? Why are Americans letting corporations be vilified? Have the demoncrats so completely won the war of ideas that no one is left to point out obvious truths, like, corporations are made up of citizens? Like corporations do more good works for the needy, in total by dollar amount than the government? Like corporations and their top employees pay the lions share of the taxes?
Yeah, I Know. John Galt. Blah blah blah.
Why is Wall Street taking it laying down?
It seems to me that the fascists have already successfully divided the enemy through the use of tax-carrots and regulatory whipping. “Sure, I’ll give you campaign donation if you protect me from that tax and that regulation” And soon, we have 170,000 pages of tax code, and still, ignorance of the law is no protection.
What does this all mean? How did we find ourselves enslaved to these plantation owners. We work for other people, and we are told it is virtuous. We earn money and it’s ok, until it’s too much. Then we’re greedy. Then we’re evil. Then we owe it to society to give back. We owe it to society to
Now the newspapers are struggling, because we do not believe them. Because we do not need them. Because we can lie to eachother without their help? The government will step in, don’t worry – they’ll save them. They’ll save them so that the slaves can read the news that the government pays for. But not the opinions on whom to vote for… no, real freespeech is dangerous.
So, tell me, as my shackles hurt my soul, when is that moment when the masses realize they are slaves? When will the masses realize it is too late? When will the masses realize, they are slaves too?
China, Russia, Iran, North Korea – how are we any different and better than they are now? Because our laws are written more merrily? We think we have freespeech, until we realize, we don’t. We think we can gather and protest, until we realize, we can’t. We think we have religion, until God is dead in the public square, and the slaves are nodding, it wasn’t fair it wasn’t fair, for the slaves who didn’t like God, so much.
So tell me.. how i am not a slave. Tell me how I am free. How my money is not my money. How my time is not my time. How my ideas are immoral and my actions unconscionable. How I am a hater, because I would not give a nickle to needy family.
You can tell me all you want, but I know the gun is waiting there. The gun is pointed at me. The gun is ready to shoot me if I do not give the master his gold. the master will knock on my hovel. the master will say, you have not paid, and I will say, I need the money to feed my family, to keep my hovel. The master will put me in the shed and whip me until I give him the gold.
Yes, I am free.
But only in my head.
