With An Eye to the Future

So, where do we go from here?

Thousands of Tea Party demonstrations are expected around the country today, but the movement must decide whether its purpose is merely to organize demonstrations and express outrage, or to move on to the next crucial stage of a successful grass-roots revolution — electing a new generation of public officials with the guts to make the hard decisions required to enact genuine reforms.

It’s an interesting question to ponder, as I get ready to join the Tea Party downtown today. Are we simply going to complain, or will we actually start taking steps to make a difference?

About Those Racist Tea Parties…

It seems freedom from governmental tyranny is for everyone as the Billings Gazette reports.

Calling for new tribal leadership and a break from the federal government, founders of the first Crow Indian Tea Party movement rallied Monday in Hardin.

Leading the new Crow Nation Tea Party was Adrian Bird Sr., a former tribal chairman candidate…

But wait, I thought the Tea Parties were nothing but a bunch of right wing racists that hate and despise minorities in this country?

Other Tea Party members from across the state joined the Crow Nation Tea Party in demonstrating at Hardin’s only downtown stoplight. The groups gathered at every corner of the intersection with placards denouncing health care reform, climate change legislation and excessive federal government.

They elicited honks from passersby during the noon rally.

“We just wanted to be supportive of these people,” said Ken Champion of Bozeman. “Anybody who stands for freedom and liberty and opposed to unrestricted government spending, we want to support.”

Got that right. We need more people like that.

Speaking of Stimulus Spending

Here’s a wonderful update about the amount of money and the jobs that are being saved up here in the great Live Free or Die state.

The report also revealed that through the end of June that stimulus money created or saved 796 jobs, with 700 of those state workers who did not have to get laid off thanks to the federal grants, Fitch said.

So much for “shovel ready” projects that could help save jobs. As I’ve said before, this bill masquerading as pork is nothing more than a complete and utter political payoff to HRH The Sun Kings supporters.

The state has so wonderfully created a nice google map showing the spending, which can be viewed at http://www.nh.gov/recovery/map/index.htm. You click on the link for the statewide amount and a nice bubble pops up. Then click on the wonderful summary tab and please note that the wonderful number ZERO is listed for employment.

Stimulus my ass. This does nothing for private sector jobs that pay for the public sector. Nothing but a complete and utter waste of taxpayer money. And the chattering skulls in DC don’t understand what yesterday was about, do they? Well they’ll find out when they’ve been voted out in 2010. Oh and the republican party had better understand that they’re in the cross hairs too.

“It’s My Money Anyways.”

And that dear sir, is where you are incorrect. When it comes to any government, it is their money and they allow you to use in in ways that they deem satisfactory. It’s such a quaint notion in this country that people have the nerve to believe that their tax payments are their money.

Some states say plummeting tax collections drove them to hold on to the money so they can make ends meet. Others complain of not being able to keep up because the economic downturn has forced staffing cuts in revenue departments.

But critics worry governments are withholding funds that rightly belong to taxpayers when they need the extra cash the most. And some of the tardy states are fast approaching a stiff deadline of their own: The longer they wait, the more likely they’ll have to pony up interest from thinning state coffers.

Now in all seriousness, this story proves exactly the arrogance and inhumanity that is government. We have the story of a gentleman who legally paid his taxes and is owed his refund due to an overpayment. And yet the state, in it’s benevolent munificence, has decided the people will wait because they choose to keep the people waiting.

Colin Daymude was out of work last year after his business failed and eagerly filed his taxes in mid-January, figuring he’d get his refund sooner. He was wrong.

It took the 44-year-old entrepreneur more than six months to get his $1,300 check—money that he needed to pay living expenses while he worked a few side gigs.

“I’m just trying to get my money back,” said a frustrated Daymude. “It’s my money anyways.”

I have definitely come to the conclusion that it is better to owe the government a few pennies than to have them owe you as they are showing by their actions that they are unwilling to deal fairly with the taxpayers that support their lavish lifestyles.

“It’s unfair to taxpayers,” said Colyer, a surgeon from Overland Park. “It’s creating a cash-flow concern for these people. They rely on tax refunds for a big purchase, or to make a house payment.

Or how about it’s my money dammit. Give it back. If the states continue on this wayward path, they may be reminded, and not too gently, that the people are in charge.

And if you really need an example of why the “stimulus” was nothing but a slush fund, here’s how Missouri dealt with their taxpayers.

Missouri, which delayed issuing income tax refunds earlier this year, ultimately used $250 million of federal economic stimulus money to pay hundreds of thousands of refunds.

Well isn’t that special. My federal tax dollars were given to some gentleman in Missouri because the state of Missouri can’t run it’s own budget. I know this was not what was meant by the “stimulus” funding. But that’s the problem with government programs. They never turn out how they were started.

Regardless, it is the people’s money, it should be rightfully given to them. And the attitude of the government should change or it will be changed for them.

Tea Party anyone?

Who Needs the MSM?

Here is Founding Bloggers in-depth video report on the recent Tea Party in Chicago. It contains the footage that CNN is desperate to censor, as well as many interviews with participants.

What Do You Think the Internet is For?

Here’s what they didn’t show you on CNN.

REVOLUTION!

Today, in my town, following layoffs at our little rural hospital, a newspaper published the top incomes of the middle/upper management and executives. To me, the agenda is clear.

The grunt workers are reacting just as the author of the news story wanted them too. They are incensed, furious and down-right PISSED off that these people did not take pay-cuts before people were laid off.

Now, as a nurse, I am a target of contempt as a high-wage earner. Even though I have clearly paid my dues and am of great value to the facility and my patients.

Here’s my paradigm shift: I always felt that professional basketball players made too much money when I was bustin’ my arse taking care of the sick and dying.

Guess I am eating some crow now.

First they came for the CEO’s…

I read this comment today on Hotair.com and the more I thought about it, the scarier it is.

This is really the crux of the problem. More than 1/2 of Americans are living off the rest who are paying taxes, and the entire engine of tyrany is beating the drums of class warfare. It seems like 3 things are inevitable:

  1. No one in their right mind will want to be a business owner and make ‘too much money’
  2. People who make too much money will either a) leave the country for safer more profitable places to make money or b) make less money on purpose.
  3. Tax revenues will drop precipitously as people are punished for productivity.

Yes, this is a bit Atlas Shrugged, but unlike that story, I don’t think there is a John Galt. Our Galts are morons who bought into the program – Gates, Buffet, et cetera determined that the Liberalism and Big Government were going to win the fight and positioned themselves to be on the right side of that battle. Almost all the elite rich are Democrats.

Frankly, I think it is time to abandon the Republican Party as a brand. the baggage is carries is too heavey and the times to serious and important to waste effort moving it around.

Conservatives are a minority of 1/3rd of the people. This, by the way is about the same as the minority that won the revolution.

On Thursday, the Tea Party should issue a call to arms. A civil engagement and war on the nihilism of the destructive ways and  systems.  They should pull out the ideas of the founders and ask Patriotic Americans to sign a petition. A public petition.  The Bill of Rights. The Declaration of Independence… the Constitution. They should ask Americans to SWEAR upon their HONOR before GOD to defend and uphold these ideas and ideals. They should make demands to free the American people.

This Tyranny can not stand.

Of course, it will. And of course they won’t. But we the Sheeple have followed so long and are so far down the path to the slaughter house, I think it’s too late.

BUT, that’s what should happen on the 15th.

the 1/3rd should loudly, angrily and without any compromise make demands. The 1/3 should walk out of work and go on strike. The 1/3 should tell the rest – NO, we will not pay 1 God Damned NICKLE until Freedom is restored.

And when the US Govt. comes for them, they should not pay. They should resist. They should FIGHT.  The tyrants and his majesty can not keep 100 Million people in prinson. The economy can not afford to keep the 100 Million on Strike.

We could change the world without a gun, if we had the resolve.

Is this hope, or a last sip of the tea of freedom?
