What’s With The British?
I just don’t get the British. They seem to be willingly give up their freedoms whole handedly and make a mockery of their country by literally turning into an Orwellian state.
Lord Smith of Finsbury believes that implementing individual carbon allowances for every person will be the most effective way of meeting the targets for cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
It would involve people being issued with a unique number which they would hand over when purchasing products that contribute to their carbon footprint, such as fuel, airline tickets and electricity.
Hey look, it’s a twofer for the control freaks. Not only do we finally get to give evryone a unique identifier with which we can literally track what people do, but we can pretend it’s for the environment.
WTF?
It’s very bizarre. Don’t get me wrong, we seem to have this issue in this country, witness the election of HRH The Sun King, may he never make any decision before it’s time, in wanting more government control over the people, but really, the British really have this Orwellian fetish down to a T.
